Hilltromper's Featured Events for Day One:

7:30am-11am -Pinto Lake and Local Hotspots.
Excellent for beginners and experts alike, this hike could produce sightings of red–shouldered and red-tailed hawks, white–tailed kites, California thrashers, woodpeckers, ducks, and songbirds. $15 after registration.

1pm - Cuckoos, Carbon, and the Rise of Greenbirding.
Ever heard of a "biker birder"? You're about to. Birders are increasingly attentive to their environmental footprint and are taking creative steps to cut back on carbon. Join Scott Smithson to learn more and participate in some real world restoration work at the Watsonville Wetlands. Registration required.
